Theory
The first step towards obtaining your motorcycle license in Western Australia is completing the theory test provided by the Department of Transport, upon completion you will be issued with a learners permit which will be valid for three years.
You must be a holder of a learners permit before you can legally ride a registered motorcycle on any public grounds or roads.
If you are upgrading to an unrestricted license or hold an international motorcycle license you will not be required to do the theory test and may legally ride without the permit.
You will need to pay the test entitlement and be issued with a permit to book a practical assessment.

Practical
For the practical assessment you will need to demonstrate a good flow in decision making combined with smooth concise control of the motorcycle.
Your hazard perception will be assessed in your ability to read traffic situations and your planning ahead through road positioning, speed adjustments and good judgement, most likely a combination of these things.
You riding skill will be tested through your ability to demonstrate emergency braking, slow speed control and hill starts just to name a few.
I will provide you with safe, friendly, informative training and ensure you are well prepared not just for the practical assessment but to enjoy motorcycle riding safely and skillfully for years to come.
Motorcycle lessons will be tailored to individual needs from riding a motorcycle for the first time to experienced riders.
